Cathedral Basilica of Sts. Peter & Paul, Philadelphia

Built between 1846 and 1864, this is the mother church of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, home to over 1.4 million Roman Catholics in the five-county diocese located in southeastern Pennsylvania.  Much of the work in building the Cathedral was done while St. John Neumann was Bishop of Philadelphia although it was not completed until four years after his death.
